I am ready for love
Being alone and being lonely are not the same. Being able to be comfortably alone with oneself is healthy. Loneliness hurts. It is true that we create our own happiness from within. That no one outside of us can truly make us happy or fulfill us. So it is important to learn to be alone. But it is also true that it is a natural desire to share our lives with a partner and friends so we are not lonely. How to get this? Begin by being the person you would like to meet. Smile, be nice, be open, be inviting, get to know people, love one another, We are all gay brothers and sisters who need to embrace each other. Our inability to connect with each other leaves us lonely. That is killing us in the form of suicide, drugs, alcoholism, and barebacking often at parties that substitute for our need for tribal unity and love.
I was lucky enough to fall in love & even though I got hurt at the end, I have memories that'll last for as long as I want to hold on to them. I now know that it wasn't true love because I was not loved back in the same way. But that's life. I refuse to become jaded...I know there has to be someone out there that wants what I want...something more than a one night stand. Someone that is looking froward to a call in the morning from he who cares and is willing to do the same. Someone that knows who he is and is not afraid to let me in his closet in fear of what I may find. Someone that is not selfish and who doesn't need to wear expensive labels to feel worthy. Someone simple, nice, honest and monogamous.
